The Early Learning Centre at Gippsland Grammar is a beautiful purpose-built centre where children thrive in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. It currently holds an Exceeding rating.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Co-Educator to assist with the 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs at our BairnsdaleCampus. This is a part-time position working approximately 22.5 hours over three days per week specifically on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8am to 4pm.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of a high-quality educational program that reflects best pedagogical practice the Centres philosophy and the Schools ethos. Educators are part of a supportive team with access to professional learning and growth within a caring school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with documentation observations and student portfolios.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a safe clean and engaging learning environment.
  • Attend staff meetings PD sessions and school events.
  • Support daily routines including cleaning equipment setup and safety checks.
  • Build respectful relationships with children and families.
  • Uphold school policies professional standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate III or Diploma of Childrens Services.
  • Understanding of the VEYLDF and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification.

A working knowledge of early years learning frameworks and a passion for excellence is mandatory.
