Description:
Morris and Associates is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Buyer 1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase assigned MRO and commodities such as materials components supplies at most favorable price consistent with quality quantity delivery and other factors
- Evaluate and recommend sources of materials and supplies consistent with pricing and quality goals
- Evaluate materials needs and execute timely purchases to support customer orders and inventory plans
- Work to continually improve processes and procedures for best effectiveness
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure timely order confirmations and deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment planning to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes resolve order discrepancies and track shipments.
Qualifications:
- One years of experience in purchasing preferred
- Associate or bachelors degree in business or supply chain preferred
- Familiarity with MS Windows environment (Word Excel Explorer) a plus
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP system in manufacturing environment strongly preferred (Syspro a plus) - 1 year preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
