Department Overview

Job Description

This is a primarily onsite role in our Schaumburg IL office.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside senior engineers to design develop and test integration strategies for multiple applications within the Public Safety suite.

• Evaluate the deployability of individual features and sets of features ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

• Collaborate with product and deployment teams to assess the release readiness of new features and functionality.

• Assist in troubleshooting IT-related issues and contribute to solutions.

• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Participate in lab maintenance and process development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or similar engineering or technical discipline.

• Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP UDP).

• Experience with operating systems (e.g. Windows Linux) routers and switches.

• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) and virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware VirtualBox).

• Experience in IT-related troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Ability to commute onsite to our Schaumburg IL campus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Public Safety systems or technologies.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma is required

• Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in an engineering or technical discipline with a graduation date of May 2026 or later

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
