Group Design Leader Interior & Exterior Systems

What to expect:

• Coordinate design and development activities for interior and exterior components (e.g. door trims cockpit bumpers closures lighting mirrors)
• Ensure alignment with project timing technical requirements and cost targets across the product lifecycle
• Lead component development through the entire VPDS / DVP cycle from concept to SOP
• Act as the main interface between engineering teams suppliers manufacturing purchasing and quality functions
• Organize and moderate Design Reviews ensuring design maturity issue tracking and documentation
• Manage supplier relationships ensuring compliance with technical regulations and design prerequisites (TR/DPR)
• Support change management testing and validation processes for assigned components
• Drive continuous improvement and support cross-functional collaboration throughout the development process

What you bring along:

• Proven experience as Group Design Leader Design & Release Engineer (D&R) or Project Engineer within automotive development
• Strong understanding of product development systems (e.g. VPDS DVP or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Catia V5 (plastics or sheet metal) and Teamcenter (PDM/PLM)
• Familiarity with local OEM process knowledge article management and KDP database
• Hands-on experience with FSS (Full Service Supplier) or Build-to-Print environments
• Excellent communication coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English proactive and structured working style
• A strong can-do mindset and high sense of ownership
