What youll do:
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Prepare and post allocated weekly and month end journals in a timely manner.
Prepare allocated balance sheet and P&L reconciliations investigate and review outstanding reconciliation items and prepare journals for rectification where required.
Drive key cost of doing business (CODB) accounts through accurate and timely accruals and analysis.
Internal stakeholder management to support other Finance Teams Operations Teams Compliance and Internal Audit Teams and IT related activities such as helpdesk requests.
Identify improvements and make recommendations to gain efficiencies in the weekly and monthly accounting processes.
Implement and ensure adherence to adopted processes and procedures.
Undertake and complete activities of the finance compliance program.
Undertake ad hoc work to assist the Business Accounting Support Leader and other managers as required.
Provide support to external and internal audit requirements.
The Business Accounting team has various other roles that include COGS gaming and audit related functions. This role will provide the opportunity to cross train in these areas with the ability to transfer roles within the department.

All weekly and month end deadlines are met and completed within the finance timetable.
All reconciliations completed accurately within the departments expected timeframe.
Data integrity is of a high standard.

Qualifications :
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting/Commerce or equivalent
Pre-requisites for completion of CA/CPA programs
Experience:
2 years accounting and reconciliation experience or equivalent.
Prior experience in a financial accounting team role
Intermediate Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and Lookups)
Ability to document and deliver process improvements.
Personal Attributes:
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong time management and communication skills.
Drive and tenacity to problem solve to overcome challenges.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments.
Ability to engage various parts of the business to deliver optimal outputs.
