Job Title: Senior Estimator Self-Perform Substation
Location: Pearland TX (Houston Area)
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a passionate and talented Senior Estimatorto join their team in Self-Perform Substations. In this position you will contribute to projects that matterhelping communities thrive while solving complex and meaningful challenges.
What youll do:
- Lead and execute bottoms up estimates for transmission and distribution bids (mainly substations).
- Develop estimate schedules to manage workload and ensure timely completion of estimates.
- Review RFP and engineering documents.
- Focus mainly on high voltage scope vs. civil and foundations.
- Be responsible for detailed documentation of quantity take-offs and constructability analysis.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand needs build trust and deliver value.
- Review and incorporate quotes for vendors subcontractors bonds and insurance.
- Lead and support project team reviews for estimating quantities and scope of project.
What youll bring:
- 5 years of direct project estimating experience.
- Strong technical expertise in electrical estimation.
- Ability to work independently or in groups think creatively and analytically and make quick and sound decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office ConEst and K-base.
- OSHA 10-hour certification.
- Commitment to safety integrity collaboration innovation and inclusion.
