The Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor is looking for their next Senior Event Manager to join their team.
The hotel is neatly situated near Baltimores scenic Inner Harbor and adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Directly linked to over a million additional square feet of space by covered pedestrian sky bridge to the Baltimore Convention Center. This property features 757 guestrooms and over 100000 square feet of meeting space with their largest room being 26712 square feet.
Our ideal candidate has at least three years of experience as a hotel Event Manager or at least one year experience as a Senior Event Manager in a midsize full-service hotel or larger. They should possess a sharp attention to detail have a warm and engaging personality and the ability to build strong relationships with both our internal team and valued clients. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences.
Pay Range:$80000-$85000 annually and will be aligned with the candidates experience and qualifications.
Shift Pattern: Typical office hours of 8:30AM 5:00 PM with required flexibility to adjust schedules for early mornings or late evenings on all days based on assigned groups.

What will I be doing
As Senior Event Manager you are responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent high-level service throughout the pre-event event and post-event phases of all hotel events. This position primarily handles complex events. You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Serve as the event planners primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for his/her experience. May support and act on the behalf of the Director of Catering and Events.
Specifically your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Organize plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone email written documents or in person.
Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of job systems products systems and processes.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts.
Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs providing direction and guidance feedback and individual coaching when needed.
Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
