Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst (Hybrid)

The product side of our business continues to growin volume and complexity. Thats why we are seeking an experienced Senior Trade Compliance Analyst with comprehensive import and export expertise to join our team and help lead our compliance this role you will drive compliance initiatives for our varied product line and navigate the complexities of international regulations classifications and international operations. The position also requires working closely with a team of in-house experts our customs brokers and internal departments to play a key role in ensuring that our operations provide visibility and accountability and are efficient. Applicants should have extensive experience with the ACE system. The ideal candidate also possesses a strong sense of urgency the ability to strategize solutions under deadline pressure and excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

A day on the job looks like this: 

• Classify and identify goods using the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and related regulatory standards while maintaining awareness of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) updates proposed changes and regulatory notices 
• Act as the primary point of contact managing shipment statuses and documentation for internal teams with specialized monitoring reporting or compliance needs 
• Conduct thorough audits on customs entry declarations and maintain a standard percentage of ongoing audits to ensure compliance and process improvement 
• Support in the development administration and enforcement of policies and procedures to enhance our compliance levels for both imports and exports 
• Update HTS classifications as changes are implemented by the CBP and rulings issued for imported products 
• Prepare and analyze trade compliance data and create reports to track key performance indicators supporting data-driven decision-making 
• Identify and resolve customs clearance delays and compliance issues working directly with customs brokers and relevant internal teams to ensure smooth processing 
• Manage and maintain recordkeeping for customs entry declaration U.S. Antidumping and Countervailing Duties and other government agencies 
• Monitor and ensure compliance with export controls economic sanctions and country-specific import/export requirements for exported product 

Qualifications :

Got the skills and experience Heres what were looking for: 

• Bachelors degree preferred 
• U.S. Customs Broker License is a plus 
• 5 years of import/export experience working for an import broker or a medium to large corporation 
• Broad import/export knowledge including a deep understanding of U.S. Customs regulations HTS classifications import duties tariff engineering ADD/CVD regulations PGA requirements plus export controls and economic sanctions 
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills 
• Strategic thinker with superb analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Self-starter with excellent project management and leadership skills 
• Ability to collaborate across all areas of the business 
• Demonstrated ability to solve increasingly complex problems using sound judgment and multi-angle analysis with limited support from manager
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
• Proven collaboration skills including working effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds and fostering a unified team approach
• Consistent track record of delivering results with minimal supervision showing ownership and resilience in overcoming challenges
• Commitment to continuous learning with a proactive approach to acquiring and applying new knowledge and skills

At Lakeshore we pay local market wages for employees that reside within Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

For this position new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at a salary rate between $70500-$95000 depending on relevant experience & skillset.

This range is indicative of projected hiring range. The annual base compensation will take into account each candidates relevant experience location and skillset.
