Department Overview
The Unified Communications team has a mission to become the leader in creating a highly scalable software platform and communication applications for first responders and industrial workgroups. Our customers rely on these solutions to run their critical business operations in the public safety manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. Every single day we are shaping the future of mobile workgroup solutions for public safety and industrial users worldwide leveraging Motorolas rich heritage in this space. Our solutions include broadband Push to Talk (PTT) multimedia messaging location based collaboration video streaming with full interoperability with land mobile radio (LMR) systems. The products include client apps on Android iOS and Windows. Our backend software can be deployed On-Prem in private data centers or in a public cloud infrastructure.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Work in an Agile/Scrum team to build and Support the automating deployment process and tools
Provide support in testing the application during and after software upgrades
Exploring the automation tools to automate the repetitive tasks .
Preferred Skills:
Experience in any scripting language (python shell) is a plus.
Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus.
Experience using version control; Git is a plus.
Experience with Linux
Knowledge of automation using ansible
Understanding of virtualized environments
Basic Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Software Engineering Electrical Engineering or an allied disciplines.
Graduation date must occur on or after December 2026.
Must be a US Citizen permanent resident
