Job Summary

A busy distribution company in Brooklyn is seeking a skilled Shipping Manager to lead daily shipping operations and ensure accurate efficient order fulfillment. The Shipping Manager will play a key role in coordinating with the warehouse team monitoring shipping metrics and optimizing processes to maintain high customer satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities Include:

Hours: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Overseeing daily shipping operations ensuring all orders are processed and delivered accurately and on time.
Coordinating with the warehouse team to streamline workflow and resolve any shipping or fulfillment issues.
Monitoring and analyzing shipping metrics to improve efficiency and meet delivery KPIs.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies across shipping processes.
Managing inventory levels in coordination with warehouse and purchasing teams to meet demand.
Optimizing shipping processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Utilizing shipping software to track and manage orders including troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Leading and training warehouse staff to maintain high operational standards.

Ideal Qualifications:

Proven experience in logistics shipping or warehouse management.
Familiarity with shipping software and processes with knowledge of Amazon logistics preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication and leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive detail-oriented and capable of driving operational improvements.
