About the role:

Youll be part of a dynamic and inclusive social enterprise that creates meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. As a General Hand youll work alongside Team Leaders to support supported employees in delivering cleaning and general maintenance services across a variety of commercial sites. This role contributes to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities while helping achieve operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties: vacuuming mopping dusting cleaning bathrooms/toilets laundry and washing walls/windows.
• Carry out light domestic tasks as required.
• Work under the guidance of the Team Leader to foster positive team relationships aligned with Arumas core values.
• Supported employees are encouraged and assisted to develop new skills and achieve their employment goals.
• Tasks are completed in line with instructions from Team Leaders and Supervisors as well as contract specifications and schedules.

What were looking for:

• Certificate III in Cleaning Operations or equivalent experience in commercial cleaning.
• Physically fit and capable of meeting manual handling and environmental demands.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities particularly in service delivery is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Practical problem-solving skills for maintenance and site-related tasks.
• Construction White Card and basic knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices.
• Valid drivers licence (minimum P2).
• Hold or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check.
