Job Summary

About the role:

Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research market predictions and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Director possesses a keen eye for identifying gaps problems and solutions within the market they serve. They use their knowledge to help clients make better decisions solve complex issues and execute new practices that propel clients businesses toward key objectives. A Director publishes these insights as pragmatic and/or provocative research. Additionally they reinforce Gartners value every day by engaging clients via in-person and virtual meetings sales support visits Gartner conferences and industry events.

What you will do:

  • Create high quality clear actionable must-have research content based on research best practices and methodologies topics include but not limited to culture of quality quality as a business driver quality org design quality talent quality metrics and KPIs QMS both process and technology among other assigned writing topics
  • Develop new research and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling actionable approaches to clients needs and requests that accelerate the clients ability to act
  • Identify the root cause of a clients barriers or overall needs and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward and Advising business and supply chain executives on best practices for selecting implementing and optimizing quality management process and technology solutions
  • Provide C-level clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to their designated content area via virtual or face-to-face interactions
  • Support Research and Sales: Provide sales support serving as voice of the market to help research teams create content and to drive engagement with clients to make progress against their critical priorities to grow their business
  • Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events industry and professional association conferences and client briefings
  • Provide high quality and timely research content peer review
  • Predict howspecific markets are developing help clients in their selection process and assist vendors in overall positioning
  • Build credibility as a domain or industry expert to represent Gartner research methodology and strategy
  • Actively participate in innovation ideation and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers in the research community
  • Be a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team members
  • Direct experience working with or for a Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) or in close partnership with supply chain leadership to drive quality initiatives that deliver measurable business impact

What you will need:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
  • Professional certification (e.g. ASQ APICS Six Sigma) are beneficial
  • 10 years of relevant field or industry experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following: 1) a large end-user organization 2) a consultancy 3) a vendor focused on quality or supply chain technology.
  • Significant experience developing leading or managing quality management programs with proven expertise in connecting quality objectives to supply chain strategies and broader business goals.
  • A robust understanding of key supply chain processes (e.g. S&OP IBP Demand/Supply Planning) and how quality management systems support and enhance these processes.
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
  • Ability to work independently while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others in a multicultural global team
  • Demonstrate executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables
  • Demonstrate superior analytical skills applying conceptual models recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions
  • Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability
  • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated experience integrating quality management systems with supply chain operations and business objectives.
  • Comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to effectively adjust communication style to different audiences
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable)

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 132000 USD - 167000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
