Job Summary
Job Opportunity: I & E Technician
KAAPA is hiring a detail oriented dependable I & E Technician for our Minden location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Remove install rebuild lubricate troubleshoot repair replace and/or clean all equipment associated with plant processes
- Perform preventative and proactive maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform inspections and adjustments on equipment
- Fabricate and/ or modify new and existing equipment as needed
- Discuss any problems or unsafe conditions with Maintenance Manager
- Learn the plant process for a better understanding of how the equipment is utilized
- Follow procedures for plant operation and safety
- Assist in identifying safety hazards and/or regulatory compliance problems
Working Hours:
- Monday- Friday 8am- 4:30pm and must be available for overtime work and/or on a call-in basis as required as the plant is operational 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education and/or technical trade certificate preferred
- Valid drivers license
- Experience with electrical and instrumentation installation troubleshooting and repair. Additional experience in hydraulics pneumatics and mechanics desired
- Experience in operation of an ethanol plant manufacturing and production helpful
- Ability to use and interpret phase testers multi-meters and meggers. Operate drill press grinder and other metal working equipment desired
- Experience in the repair of equipment such as pumps gearboxes airlocks agitator assembles piping systems boiler operations conveyers etc. Desired
- Able to write and maintain detailed repair reports and other records
- Basic computer knowledge
- Learn and effectively use Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
