St Peters Lutheran College established in 1945 is a Co-Educational Day and Boarding School located on 52 acres in Indooroopilly just 7km from Brisbanes CBD. Our Boarding program welcomes up to 170 students from metropolitan and regional Australia as well as internationally creating a rich multicultural community. About the Role
Commencing in January 2026 or by negotiation St Peters Lutheran College is seeking to appoint a Director of Boarding to lead its Boarding Program.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced educational leader to shape and guide a thriving Boarding community. As Director of Boarding you will lead the strategic and operational direction of the Colleges Boarding Program ensuring a safe nurturing and well-managed environment where students can flourish. Youll mentor staff support students and families and foster a culture of care connection and excellence all grounded in the Colleges Christian values. Key Responsibilities
As Director of Boarding you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of our Boarding students and leading a dynamic residential community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership & Management: Inspire and lead the Boarding team overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring a high-quality experience for all boarders.
- Student Care & Wellbeing: Provide exceptional pastoral care and support fostering a safe inclusive and nurturing environment where students feel at home.
- Culture Building: Develop and maintain a positive respectful and values-driven Boarding culture that reflects the ethos of St Peters.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all Boarding operations meet regulatory requirements and uphold best practices in student safety and wellbeing.
- Program Stewardship: Manage the administration and strategic direction of the Boarding program ensuring its continued growth and excellence.
- Community Engagement: Build strong relationships and maintain open proactive communication with students families and staff across both Boarding and day school settings.
- Promotion & Advocacy: Actively promote the Boarding program within the College and broader community highlighting its unique strengths and opportunities.
- Strategic Development: Lead the ongoing evolution of the Boarding program aligning it with the Colleges vision and the changing needs of students.
- Christian Ethos: Model and support the Christian ethos of the College fostering a community grounded in compassion respect and service.
