Employment Status:Full-Time(in conjunction with a permanent Teaching Role)
Salary Range:$106135 - $144259 (dependent on experience)

What we are looking for:

Shalom College Bundaberg seeks applications from suitably qualified established and aspiring leaders to undertake the middle leadership position of Head of House. This is a Middle Leader position commencing from January 2026 in conjunction with a permanent teaching role at the college.

We seek passionate leaders who will strive for excellence in teaching administration professional conduct relationships with parents and the wider school community and a genuine interest for young people and their learning.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to develop and lead quality teaching and learning practices
  • A willingness to proactively engage with professional development opportunities to enhance quality pedagogy and student outcomes
  • An ability to work in collaboration with the Leadership Team and other staff members to contribute to the future planned growth development and extra-curricular life of the College

About us

Shalom College Bundaberg is a Secondary Catholic College administered by Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton. Its 1500 students from Year 7 to 12 students are offered a diverse curriculum through a modern well-equipped school with a wide range of co-curricular activities including instrumental music choirs interschool sport retreats camps and various clubs and societies.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
  • Australian work rights
