Job Summary

Seeking a skilled-level Technician able to perform diagnosis and repair in all areas with specialized skills in particular areas of repair.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs authorized repairs.
  2. Performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
  3. Obtains parts from the Parts department through effective communication and saves parts as required by either a warranty company or the customer.
  4. Examines assigned vehicles to determine if any safety or maintenance work is required or recommended.
  5. Communicates with service advisors if additional work is needed if work outlined is not needed if any damage occurs to a customer vehicle or if repairs cannot be completed in the given time frame.
  6. Documents all work done and recommended on the repair order.
  7. Road tests vehicles when required.
  8. Participates in manufacturer training plus annual compliance training as assigned.
  9. Understands and keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins regulations related to hazardous waste disposal OSHA requirements etc
  10. Operates all tools and equipment including vehicles in a safe manner reporting any machinery defects or malfunctions and safety issues to management.
  11. Supervises the work of other technicians as assigned.
  12. Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager or General Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience as a general service technician and/or equivalent education with a demonstrated increase in independence and responsibility over time
  • ASE Certification or manufacturer certification strongly preferred
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the job including lifting pushing pulling reaching bending kneeling etc in the work environment which may include heat cold or other conditions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
