Description

The Senior Business Analyst-Senior Financial Analyst for the Mayo Clinic Platform Orchestrate Program will be a key member of the team driving research-focused data-enabled partnerships within the life sciences biopharmaceutical and medical device sectors. This individual will develop key financial models and business requirements for complex industry-academic research collaborations that integrate real-world data artificial intelligence and clinical expertise to accelerate discovery and development.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in business and financial systems and tools with experience in medical or biopharma organizations and the interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders alike.

Key competencies and responsibilities:

  • Proficient understanding of budget creation financial modeling creation of reports and subsequent operationalization including billing and reporting of Key Performance Indicators.
  • Understands and considers the business and the technical needs of all stakeholders with the goal of providing a quality product or process that meets the business objectives.
  • Examines costs benefits and risks associated with the proposed project and recommends alternatives for solutions throughout the business life cycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to synthesize articulate and document financial and business objectives and requirements by applying system and analytical thinking methodology and discipline.
  • Performs data analysis defines and documents business financial and compliance requirements supporting translation to specifications early in the development of business proposals.
  • Assists project operational leaders in linking project deliverables to billing and milestones earn-out schedules.
  • Demonstrates system and analytical thinking capability. Progressive knowledge and demonstrated use of business and financial analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal communications. Builds credibility rapport and partners with others to understand their needs and provides conflict resolution problem solving and ability to drive consensus.
  • Works in partnership with stakeholders to develop a solid knowledge base of business and financial needs.
  • May manage projects of mid-level complexity which could include subcomponents of larger-scale projects as directed by project leaders.


Qualifications

Bachelors and 6 years experience in business analysis business administration information science health or science-related field OR Masters and 2 years experience in business analysis business administration information science health or science-related field. Experience in financial modeling budgeting forecasting analytics and accounting is highly preferred.
