Manager Technical Sales -

General Summary:

The Manager of Technical Sales is responsible for leading a team of entry level to experienced professionalsfocused on driving the company towards its strategic and financial goals by providing technical knowledge andresources to the department and partners. This role supports the Sales team by ensuring world class technicalexpertise to all areas of the business and for products of the ConnectWise business suite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
    Supervises support and/or professional level colleagues
    Ensures policies practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports customers and
    stakeholders
    Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team
    Manages mentors and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
    Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency
    Leads a team of Sales Engineers who serve as the primary technical resources for revenue to provide
    product introduction trial and education expertise
    Manages resources dedicated to the creation and delivery of customized demonstrations for all products
    and services
    Ensures the continuous professional development of the Sales Engineering team so that all members are
    trained on the latest versions and features of all products and solutions relevant to their areas of
    expertise
    Develops key leadership relationships with all areas of the business to ensure positive collaboration with
    the Sales Engineering Team
    Provides leadership for the technical sales functions amongst business units and other divisions to provide
    support for strategic initiatives
    Develops strong working relationships with stakeholders including internal teams partners and affiliates
    Provides direction and strategy to managers and team members to ensure operational excellence
    Engages in ongoing trainings and certifications to remain up-to-date on ConnectWise products and
    services

    Broad understanding of all ConnectWise products and integration points
    Ability to coordinate inter-departmental relationships to reach team goals
    Knowledge of best practices and processes for IT Companies
    Understanding of the needs versus wants of the prospect with the ability to guide them accordingly
    Ability to take a consultative and creative approach in all interactions with prospects and internal teams
    Organized detail oriented and self-motivated
    Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively communicate through phone and e -mail

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent business experience
    4 years of relevant experience
    2 years of managerial experience
    Experience with web-based presentation tools

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid based out of Tampa FL
    10-20% travel may be required
