Job Title

About your role:

The Server Support Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing server infrastructure to ensure high availability performance and security. This role supports both hardware and software components of servers and collaborates with IT teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.

What youll do:

• Diagnose and resolve server-related issues across Windows and Linux including hardware failures software bugs and network connectivity problems.
• Respond to help desk requests and provide technical support to users.
• Maintain accurate records of server configurations and changes.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects.
• Support and enhance daily alert automation workflows
• Ensure documentation remains current and aligned with evolving processes and policies.
• Utilize tools such as Service Point Moogsoft SailPoint Splunk and App Map for ticketing reporting and change management.

Experience youll need to have:

• 4 years of experience in server support in an enterprise environment.
• 4 years of experience with server monitoring tools and backup solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server Linux/Unix Active Directory and virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware).
• Associates degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education military and work experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

• Certifications such as CompTIA Server Network Linux or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are preferred.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Bash).
• Bachelors degree in a related field.

• This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.
• This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
