Optotune is growing internationally active optics company with offices in Switzerland and Slovakia. We design manufacture and market cutting-edge adaptive optical elements for both industrial and consumer applications.

Junior Product Development Engineer supports the development of new products from concept to production. The role involves collaboration with project and engineering teams on product design testing and validation as well as improving existing solutions. The candidate will participate in technical analyses documentation and product functionality verification. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or young engineer who wants to gain hands-on experience in product development and testing within an innovative environment.

Tasks

• Collaboration in the development of new products and support for the project team throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Assisting in the design testing analysis and validation of new products under the guidance of experienced engineers
• Cooperation in the development and modification of technical equipment for testing and measurement
• Collection and analysis of test data verification of product functionality and quality experience or interest in Python is an advantage
• Support in product testing during EVT DVT and PVT phases as well as preparation of test reports
• Participation in the development and integration of testing equipment into production lines
• Assistance in creating technical product and project documentation
• Collaboration in the introduction of equipment into production (IQ OQ PQ)
• Support in the creation and updating of FMEA (DFMEA PFMEA) during product development
• Participation in activities focused on process improvement production yield enhancement and change management (CMP Change Management Process)

Requirements

• Technical education
• Basic knowledge of CAD software and testing methodologies
• Analytical thinking attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Interest or basic knowledge in programming or data analysis (Python experience is a plus)
• Awareness of quality and reliability tools such as FMEA DOE or SPC is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of English (proficiency)
