- Location: Watertown NY 13601
- Duration: 13-week Contract
- Shift: 12-hour Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay: $2160 - $2340; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a 13-week night shift contract in Watertown NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department setting demonstrating critical thinking leadership and adaptability.
Responsibilities:
- Assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department.
- Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations promptly.
- Function effectively under stressful conditions while maintaining high standards of care.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks efficiently including potential charge nurse responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members.
- Perform IV therapy medication administration and phlebotomy (certifications required during orientation).
- Successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation; achieve defibrillation certification within six months.
Qualifications:
- Current NYS RN license required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Experience with MEDITECH required.
- Travel nursing experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of one year acute care nursing experience required; ED experience.
- Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving organizational leadership and communication skills.
Radius Requirement:
- Candidate must reside within a 60-mile radius of Watertown NY.
