Job Summary

Role: Senior Data Engineer (MDM)

Location: Mississauga ON (3 days hybrid)

Duration: Long term contract opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise master data management solutions to ensure the integrity accuracy and consistency of key data assets.

Collaborate with business stakeholders data governance teams and IT to define data standards data quality rules and data lifecycle management.

Develop and optimize data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools SQL and scripting languages to consolidate data from multiple banking systems.

Work with MDM platforms (e.g. Informatica MDM Collibra IBM InfoSphere etc.) to establish a trusted and centralized master data repository.

Ensure compliance with banking regulatory and data privacy standards.

Implement data validation reconciliation and quality checks within the MDM framework.

Optimize data models for scalability and performance.

Provide technical leadership in data integration activities including data migration data warehousing and system upgrades.

Support data governance initiatives by ensuring data lineage auditability and security.

Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in data engineering and MDM solution architecture.

Document technical specifications data workflows and governance procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.

8 years of experience in data engineering with at least 3 years specializing in Master Data Management (MDM) within banking/financial services.

Strong expertise with MDM tools (Informatica Collibra IBM InfoSphere or similar).

Proficiency in SQL Python or other scripting languages.

Extensive experience in data modeling relational databases and data integration.

Knowledge of banking domains such as Customer 360 KYC AML Risk or Payments.

Familiarity with data governance frameworks regulatory compliance and data privacy standards in banking.

Strong communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure Data Factory AWS Glue etc.) is a plus.

Certification in MDM data management or cloud data services is preferred.
