About the Role

Our Service Technician Trainee position is an entry-level opportunity designed to launch your career in a high-demand technical field. Youll receive hands-on training and industry certifications to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment.

Training may take place outside your local area - all training lodging and meals are fully covered by SPATCO. This is a full-time position (minimum 40 hours per week) with overtime opportunities. After completing training youll participate in an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

Complete petroleum service calls for customers in a variety of settings (retail gas stations commercial facilities hospitals travel centers and government locations).
Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units (e.g. Gilbarco Dresser Wayne Gasboy Bennett) and POS systems (e.g. VeriFone Gilbarco NCR).
Install program and test new petroleum equipment.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
Analyze electrical and mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers managers and customers.
Complete all required service documentation accurately and on time.
Explain technical issues to customers in clear easy-to-understand terms.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued drivers license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 75 lbs regularly.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Daily local travel required.
