Job Summary

Job Title: Cyber DevOps Product Owner

Location: Chicago IL or Denver CO (5 days onsite per week)
Contract Type: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $65 $70/hr W2 $3 $5 referral fee
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a seasoned Product Owner with a background in DevOps Security Engineering or DevSecOps to support its Global Information Security initiatives. This role will lead agile product development efforts focused on cybersecurity detection and fraud prevention working closely with engineering and cyber teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as Technical Product Owner for cybersecurity and fraud detection initiatives.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily standups sprint planning retrospectives and backlog grooming.
Lead SAFe Agile practices including PI Planning and quarterly planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering cyber and business units.
Manage and prioritize work using JIRA ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.

Required Experience:

Background in one or more of the following:
- SIEM or cybersecurity detection
- Software development (preferably Python or Java)
- Enterprise banking (Bank of America experience highly valued)
Strong understanding of SAFe Agile methodology (SAFe certification preferred)
Proficiency in JIRA and JQL for agile project management and reporting
Experience in DevOps application engineering or application risk management
Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable backlog items
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certifications
Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence
Prior experience managing high-volume ticket environments
