Job Description:

We are seeking a Mainframe Modernization Consultant with hands-on experience in migrating legacy mainframe applications and workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mainframe technologies (COBOL JCL CICS DB2 etc.) and experience with GCP modernization tools and frameworks. You will be responsible for assessing existing mainframe environments designing modernization strategies and executing migration and transformation initiatives to cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and analyze existing mainframe systems for cloud migration feasibility.
Design and implement modernization and migration strategies to GCP.
Utilize GCP tools for rehosting replatforming or refactoring mainframe workloads.
Collaborate with cloud architects developers and business stakeholders.
Ensure performance optimization security and reliability post-migration.

Required Skills:

Strong background in mainframe technologies (COBOL JCL DB2 CICS).
Hands-on experience with GCP migration tools (e.g. M4A GCP Transfer Appliance BigQuery Cloud Storage).
Experience in mainframe-to-cloud migration or modernization projects.
Knowledge of containerization microservices and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
