JOB TITLE: Electronics Technician

PAY RATE: $26-28/hour

Summary:

• Perform electronic maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) using standard and specialized tooling.

• Set up test apparatus and execute tests on electronic assemblies and units following established procedures standards and sequences.

• Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.

• Adjust calibrate and modify electronic equipment by adding removing or altering components based on diagrams or sketches.

• Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts/components.

• Use hand and small power tools as well as various measuring and testing devices.

• Determine appropriate tests to perform and approve or suggest modifications to testing equipment.

• Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance.

• Assist engineers in developing test procedures for new products.

• Recommend product or manufacturing process improvements.

• Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control or other control procedures.

• Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of VLS components.

• Perform repairs and retesting of components as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Hands-on experience with electronic maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) of assemblies and components.

• Proficiency in using hand tools small power tools and specialized electronic test equipment.

• Ability to set up and execute tests on electronic assemblies and units interpreting results accurately.

• Experience with adjusting calibrating and modifying electronic equipment per diagrams schematics or sketches.

• Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills for electronic components and systems including VLS components.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
