Title: Assistant Director of Fund Compliance

The Assistant Director of Fund Compliance reports to the Director of Accounting Operations and works to ensure donor funds are successfully expended and spent according to donor intent agreements Federal and State regulations and Foundation cash disbursement policies. This position serves as a strategic resource to campus fund administrators and works collaboratively with Advancement Operations Development Financial Aid the Office of the Provost and university partners including deans department chairs fiscal agents and fund administrators to maximize fund use and ensure donor compliance and stewardship.
This position will work within Advancement Operations which houses Advancement Technology Services Gift Processing Prospect Research and Donor Engagement.

$50000 - $62000 annual
1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business Administration Accounting Communications or closely related field.
2. Minimum three (3) years of full-time or part-time equivalent professional level experience in development donor relations advancement operations or accounting.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to analyze data review accounting documents and utilize software to achieve positive outcomes.
5. Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues within Advancement and throughout the University.
6. Proven skill in tracking and meeting goals and metrics.
7. Ability to meet established deadlines.
8. Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter and self-motivator.
9. Creative problem-solver who can identify gaps and opportunities and share recommendations to ensure proper stewardship of donor funds.
10. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
11. Ability to constructively contribute as a member of the Accounting team Advancement Operations Department as well as the Division of University Advancement.
12. Demonstrated ability to behave in a manner that ensures confidentiality of donor data.
13. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

2. Background in Accounting or expense processing.
3. Strong organizational skills ability to manage long-term projects and flexibility to deal with changing priorities.
4. Comfort level and experience with CRM software Accounting software and SharePoint.
5. Self-starter motivated.
Core work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score.
