Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management and governance function of our global pharmaceutical operations. The role will be pivotal in driving financial strategy ensuring fiscal discipline and enabling sustainable business growth through prudent planning robust controls and effective stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives and long-term business vision.

• Lead budgeting forecasting and financial planning for domestic and international entities.

• Provide insights to the Board on profitability cash flow and capital allocation for business growth and R&D investments.

Treasury & Funding Management

• Oversee cash flow management liquidity planning and working capital optimization.

• Evaluate funding requirements for expansion acquisitions and new product development.

• Build strong banking and investor relationships to secure optimal financing arrangements.

Mergers Acquisitions & Corporate Structuring

• Conduct financial due diligence valuation analysis and risk assessments for M&A and strategic partnerships.

• Lead integration of acquired entities ensuring smooth financial and operational alignment.

• Drive value creation through inorganic growth opportunities and strategic alliances.

Governance Controls & Compliance

• Establish and monitor internal controls ensuring compliance with statutory tax and audit requirements across global jurisdictions.

• Ensure adherence to corporate governance norms financial reporting standards (IND AS / IFRS) and risk management frameworks.

• Partner with legal and compliance teams for seamless regulatory management.

Operational & Cost Management

• Implement cost rationalisation initiatives margin improvement programs and productivity enhancements.

• Oversee pricing strategies procurement efficiency and financial performance metrics across manufacturing and distribution functions.

Board & Investor Relations

• Present financial performance updates business outlook and strategic recommendations to the Board.

• Maintain transparent communication with investors analysts and key external stakeholders.

• Support investor confidence through accurate timely and compliant disclosures.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA); additional qualifications such as CPA or MBA (Finance) preferred.

• Experience: 15 years of experience in finance leadership roles ideally in pharmaceutical biotech or life sciences sectors.

• Proven expertise in global financial operations M&A treasury management and investor relations.

• Strong understanding of pharma industry dynamics regulatory environment and R&D financing.

• Exceptional leadership analytical and communication skills with a track record of partnering with top management and the Board.

• Hands-on exposure to ERP systems financial modeling and global compliance processes.
