Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Northampton
Salary: 30000 - 35000 per annum

We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join a growing engineering company based in Northampton. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with strong SolidWorks skills to contribute to the design and development of innovative mechanical products.

Responsibilities:

Create and develop 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing and quality standards.
Support the development and improvement of new and existing products.
Produce design documentation BOMs and technical reports.
Assist in prototype development and testing when required.

Requirements:

HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D/3D CAD design.
Good understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
