Job Summary

NX NC Programmer

Responsibilities

Responsible for determining the most efficient method of machining using efficient tool paths techniques and tooling.
Responsible for writing clear and thorough setup instructions on tool lists and setup sketches.
Verify all programs written using Vericut to review for completeness and obvious errors (wrong geometry tool crashes etc).
Utilize defined standard tooling packages as much as possible on specified machining cells.
Effectively communicate with up and downstream internal customers on any manufacturing or producibility issues that arise or are foreseen.
Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100 for example).
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related duties as needed.
Accomplish strategic departmental and organizational goals by completing related duties as needed.

Skills

3 years experience programming with NX.
3 years experience 5-axis mill programming
Knowledge of lathe / mill-turn programming
3 years experience using Vericut verification software or equivalent
Knowledge of Mastercam is a plus
3 years experience as a hands on machinist
