Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate: $34/hr DOE

Were seeking a Scientist to join the Structural Biology team within Protein Sciences. Youll use cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) and biochemical assays to study the molecular mechanisms of large protein complexes involved in DNA repair. This role offers a chance to contribute to both basic research and drug discovery in a world-class biotechnology environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Purify and reconstitute complex proteins for structural and functional studies.
  • Perform cryoEM sample preparation and structure determination.
  • Develop and optimize biochemical and biophysical assays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional scientists to explore mechanisms of action.


Qualifications:

  • BS/MS (35 yrs) or PhD (02 yrs) in Biochemistry Chemical Biology or Structural Biology.
  • Experience with protein purification and assay development.
  • Preferred: hands-on cryoEM and mammalian cell assay experience.
