Job Summary
Job Title: Civil Supervisor Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)
Job Purpose:
To supervise and coordinate civil works related to the construction operation and maintenance of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) ensuring all activities are executed safely on schedule within budget and as per project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day civil construction and maintenance activities at the STP site.
Monitor and ensure that all civil works (concrete masonry waterproofing structural repairs etc.) are carried out as per approved drawings specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate with engineers contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of assigned works.
Inspect site conditions to identify issues propose corrective actions and ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Verify quantities and materials used and ensure proper utilization and storage of construction materials.
Prepare daily and weekly work progress reports and update project management on site activities.
Supervise civil repair works of tanks channels foundations chambers and other concrete structures within the STP.
Ensure compliance with company HSE (Health Safety & Environment) standards and promote safe working practices at all times.
Support in quality inspections testing of materials (e.g. concrete aggregates soil) and maintaining proper documentation.
Liaise with mechanical electrical and instrumentation teams to coordinate multidisciplinary works.
Assist in reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and report any discrepancies or design issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 58 years of experience in civil supervision preferably in sewage treatment plants water treatment plants or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of civil construction practices and quality standards (ASTM BS etc.).
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with concrete works waterproofing finishing and structural repair methods.
Working knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
Other Skills:
Strong leadership communication and coordination skills.
Good report writing and documentation ability.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
