Job Summary
Software Requirements:
- Proficient in relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle SQL Server and MySQL
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra
- Experience with database administration tools such as SQL Management Studio and Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions such as AWS RDS and Azure Database
Overall Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain database systems to meet business needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas that support application requirements
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database administration
Skills:
- Strong understanding of database concepts and architecture
- Ability to design and implement database systems to meet business needs
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in database administration
- Experience in a relevant industry such as finance healthcare or technology
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Designing implementing and maintaining database systems to meet business needs
- Monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues
- Implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity
- Collaborating with development teams to design and implement database schemas that support application requirements
- Staying current with industry trends and best practices in database administration
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Certifications in database administration such as Oracle Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
