The role will be based in our EMEA HQ Office in Hannover Germany and will report to the Supplier Quality Manager EMEA.

As a Quality Engineer Suppliers & Aftermarket (m/f/d) :

You will coordinate the relevant Quality activities linked to external suppliers and critical service providers in the European scope to ensure appropriate quality level of purchased goods in cooperation with purchasing.

You will support fulfillment of external requirements in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility related to Supply Chain management and support Aftermarket claim handling to ensure proper resolution of Customer claims and Customer Satisfaction.

What you will do

• Take part in the definition of quality objectives for suppliers and supplier management

• Conduct quality audits at suppliers and service providers

• Support Purchasing in supplier selection.

• Support Engineering in development of material specifications and identification of critical/ significant characteristics

• Maintain incoming goods inspection control plans and supporting documents for suppliers

• Support fulfillment of requirements in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility with corresponding assessments in the Supply Chain

• Ensure proper handling of Aftermarket claims by working with Clarios plants and Distribution Centers to ensure Customer satisfaction

• Close claims together with Aftermarket customers

• Ensure that Supplier quality issues and Aftermarket claims are resolved using an appropriate problem-solving methodology. Report on the status of 8Ds and ensure proper containment and corrective actions are taken.

• Report Key Process Figures related to external suppliers service providers and Aftermarket claims & customers

• Maintain procedures relevant for supplier relationship and Aftermarket claim handling

• Support application maintenance and continuous improvement of all Quality related documents needed to manage external suppliers and Aftermarket claims

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelors Degree of applied Science or equivalent combination of education (state-certified technician) and experience

• Solid background in the quality management systems

• Proven track record in the supplier quality domain supported by 23 years of experience in quality-related activities within development and/or production environments.

• Trained in standards for Quality Management Systems (QMS): ISO9001 and IATF 16949

• Knowledge of relevant VDA standards

• First experience in application of QM tools and techniques (APQP PPAP FMEA Control Plan MSA SPC DOE)

• First experience in the automotive industry

• Good knowledge in PC software applications (Microsoft Office)

• Fluent English language skills (oral and writing); additional language is a plus (German)
