Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for knowing our products inside and out. This position is charged with ensuring that customer-facing features are tested and that all facets of the product continue to function as expected when new features are added. This position is called upon to produce internal documentation because of their product expertise. This position is an in-person on-site hybrid role if local to South Bend. Remote role if not local to South Bend.

Primary Responsibilities:

Static testing
Acceptance Testing
Feature Testing
Regression Testing
Load testing
Writing test cases for feature development using Gherkin format
Evaluate and execute test cases to ensure that software meets established quality standards.
Maintaining test cases
Develop and implement test plans for software development
Providing a short feedback loop as defined in Agile Software Development
Consult on the creation of acceptance criteria
Demonstrate working/tested software to obtain acceptance from stakeholders
Facilitate test case creation sessions with developer and business analysts
Recreate troubleshoot and report bugs and issues found at any point in the development lifecycle
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for internally developed software
Mentor others in QA methodologies practices and techniques
Documents results of tests.
Collaborate with developers on root cause analysis

Experience with Linux operating systems.

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Engineering Informatics Computer Science or related field (preferred)
2 Experience in an Agile/Scrum based development environment

Responsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties by strictly adhering to HHITs data security and privacy policies and procedures as well as HIPAA PIPEDA and all other applicable law
Speaking and writing English is a requirement for this position
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
