About the Role:

Were seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our Next-Gen SIEM team at CrowdStrike focusing on API testing and quality assurance. As a key member of our team youll be responsible for ensuring the quality reliability and performance of our APIs which are critical to our customers success. Youll work closely with our development teams to design and implement comprehensive testing strategies create and maintain test automation suites and help integrate quality gates throughout our CI/CD pipelines.

What Youll Do:

  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for our APIs including functional load and performance testing.

  • Create and maintain test automation suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks focusing on REST APIs and microservices.

  • Collaborate with development teams to review API designs and ensure testability and quality.

  • Develop and maintain API load testing suites to ensure our APIs can handle high traffic and stress conditions.

  • Help design and implement CI/CD pipelines integrating quality gates and automated testing throughout the pipeline.

  • Participate in resiliency and chaos testing of our system identifying potential failure points and working with the team to improve overall system reliability.

  • Analyze and debug complex issues found in testing or production environments working closely with development teams to resolve issues.

What Youll Need:

  • 5 years of experience in QA or SDET role with a focus on API testing and quality assurance.

  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs microservices and API testing principles.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Postman RestAssured Pytest).

  • Proficiency in a modern programming language (e.g. Golang Python JavaScript).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins Github actions).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for identifying and resolving complex issues.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with contract testing (e.g. Pact).

  • Familiarity with API management tools and platforms (e.g. Swagger).

  • Knowledge of load testing and performance testing tools (e.g. k6 Gatling Locust).

  • Experience with resiliency and chaos testing (e.g. Chaos Mesh Gremlin).

  • Contributions to open-source testing frameworks or tools.
