The Opportunity:
eCornell is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Facilitation Manager STEM Programs to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our expert-led online learning programs. This position is instrumental in driving the growth quality and professionalization of our facilitator community across key program areas.
As a Program Facilitation Manager you will lead efforts to recruit coach and manage a pool of highly qualified course facilitators and subject matter experts. Youll collaborate closely with cross-functional teamsincluding Instructional Design Instructional Technologies and Product Managementto ensure our learning products are effective engaging and continuously improving.
This is a multifaceted leadership role that blends operational excellence team development and strategic input into product design. The ideal candidate will also bring strong analytical capabilities using data to evaluate program performance and inform improvements. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau (or similar) is required with experience in SQL Python or other advanced analytics methods preferred.

Experienced in recruiting vetting hiring and managing subject matter experts and course facilitators in online education or professional development programs.
Proficient in performance management including coaching conducting evaluations and implementing improvement plans for facilitators.
Comfortable working with data to guide decision-making including basic proficiency with Tableau or similar visualization tools. Experience with SQL Python or advanced analytics is a plus.
Excellent with follow-up and follow-through ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
Customer-centric in your approach with strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with the Facilitation team and eCornell departments.
Adaptable flexible and you exercise patience and curiosity in navigating complex issues with a high level of confidentiality and good judgment.
What You Will Do:
Partner with the Director of Program Facilitation to recruit vet and hire course facilitators and SMEs.
Manage and support facilitators within assigned program areas.
Provide input on monthly facilitation assignments and scheduling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch and improve learning products.
Identify SMEs for course development.
Review courses from facilitator and student perspectives.
Advise on design and process improvements for better student outcomes.
Facilitate 12 course sections per month.
Serve as the point of contact for certificate-related issues; submit maintenance tickets as needed.
Onboard train and coach facilitators to ensure quality and consistency.
Implement performance management systems including data reviews and check-ins.
Recommend termination when facilitators fail to meet quality standards.
Analyze facilitator and program performance data; contribute to dashboards reports and insights that guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
Comfortable working with data to guide decision-making including basic proficiency with Tableau or similar visualization tools. Experience with SQL Python or advanced analytics is a plus.
Lead and contribute to process and policy improvements.
Participate in meetings (virtual and in-person) as needed.
Collaborate with peers to build a strong community of practice among facilitators.
Ensure compliance with federal state and institutional regulations (e.g. FERPA DOE Cornell policies).
Communicate effectively with students facilitators and internal stakeholders.

Masters degree in relevant field(s) and 3 years of relevant professional experience including experience managing others or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge Skills and Abilities

This position is based in Ithaca New York however the successful applicant may perform this role remotely anywhere within the United States. The New York Convenience of employer guidelines require New York State individual tax reporting and withholdings for this position.
