What Youll Be Doing:

As a Surveyor at VanPile youll play a key role in supporting our marine and heavy civil construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

Survey pile locations batter orientations and structure elevations using GPS and total station equipment
Draft and interpret pre-construction and as-built drawings in AutoCAD; prepare detailed reports
Support dredging and construction activities with topographic and bathymetric data collection using singlebeam multibeam and LiDAR systems
Prepare and coordinate field equipment and logistics for daily operations
Collaborate with project teams to meet construction goals and timelines
Uphold VanPiles commitment to Health Safety & Environment standards

What Youll Bring:

Diploma or degree in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying
35 years of relevant experience preferably in heavy civil or marine construction
Proficiency in GPS and total station surveying
Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is an asset)
Strong technical and computer skills
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Ability to work safely and effectively in all weather conditions

Assets:

Hydrographic survey experience using singlebeam multibeam and LiDAR systems
Bathymetric data processing experience using HYPACK software
Experience with Trimble equipment
Small boat operation experience
Mechanical aptitude

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary range: $70k-$90k per annum
Competitive base salary with performance bonus eligibility.
