The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Department Overview
The Department of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) at Childrens Minnesota is one of the largest departments. We are dedicated to managing the care of hospitalized infants children and teenagers providing 24/7/365 on-site service at both the Minneapolis and St. Paul hospital campuses. We are committed to delivering high-value evidence-based family-centered care while striving to promote the health and equity of all children both within our hospital walls and across broader health systems. Boasting 100 providers the PHM service is a collaborative medical practice consisting of pediatricians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Our mission is to positively impact childrens health not only in the Twin Cities but also on a regional and national level.

Position Summary
As a casual APP Hospitalist you will play a crucial role in managing the care of hospitalized patients from admission to discharge. You will work independently and in collaboration with physician hospitalists to provide comprehensive assessments and create medical plans of care. You will gain diverse clinical experiences from covering patients in Acute Care units the Infant Care Center and serving as the primary team for a wide array of specialty patients such as endocrinology eating disorders gastroenterology pulmonology nephrology infectious disease cardiology general surgery urology ENT and psychiatry.
