Job Summary
Our client is in need of an experienced Laser Operator for their facility in Taylor MI. The Laser Operator is a 3rd shift position (11p-7a) Monday-Friday with possible overtime $22.45 per hour & this position is contract to hire. Candidates must have previous working experience setting up and operating laser cutting machine as directed; ability to read and interpret blueprints; understanding basic laser
language including G-code and CNC code; knowledge of basic GD&T - Flatness Perpendicularity True Position Datum structure and Datum symbols; ability to draw and program laser files using customer prints and drawings; able to convert CAD files into desired drawing files; verifying conformance of work piece to specifications; recognizing typical problems in parts and equipment when they occur; maintaining laser program files to ensure revision levels are current and old revision levels are removed; utilize nesting opportunities when available to minimize excess scrap; performing machine adjustments to ensure maximum efficiencies of machine; cleaning and other general shop tasks; performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned strong PC skills and be responsible for loading & unloading materials loading programs into the PC that will run the machine and fabricate parts.
