Intern Capital Supplier Procurement

Microns US Site Procurement Operations team is seeking a high-performing intern to support procurement activities across Boise factories. This role offers exposure to factory startup readiness supplier engagement and digital transformation initiatives. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in capital procurement supplier management and process optimization.

This role is part of a strategic pipeline for future full-time hiring.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more factory areas to procure capital equipment and materials
• Manage tactical stakeholder and supplier relationships
• Support supplier contract management and negotiation
• Contribute to business process improvements
• Lead digital transformation efforts using AI tools to improve work efficiency

Minimum Requirements

• Pursuing B.S. or M.S. and majoring in Supply Chain Industrial Engineering Operations Engineering Business or related field
• Junior or Senior in college or 2nd-year M.S. student
• Minimum GPA of 3.5
• Candidate must be available to start in January 2026 and work 40 hours per week through the end of the summer.
• Demonstrated interest in digital transformation AI and automation as it applies to procurement
• Must be a full-time student and not graduate prior to September 2026.

Preferred Requirements

• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel PowerPoint and basic data and Microsoft tools
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Prior internship or experience in supply chain or procurement preferred
