Job Summary

The Mine Services supervisor safely lead a the team by performing daily tasks that include:

Oversee the Installation and management of large-scale pumping systems
Fill out all associated paperwork that is needed to perform his/her teams job duties
Lead daily safety and line out meetings
Fill out and report SWPPP inspections on scheduled dates to adhere to all DHEC requirements
Develop mentor and train new individuals into leadership roles
Lead the construction of SWPPPs reclamation and all contact water projects.
Drive a culture of safety environmental responsibility and performance

Qualifications :

Background in the function of dewatering pump fundamentals
Previous Leadership role preferred
Safety background and knowledge of MHSA regulations
Must possess the ability to apply common sense or logic to a problem-solving solution
High school Diploma or GED
Willing to do what is needed for the success of the mine services department
Background in the operation mining equipment

Additional Information :

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand sit demonstrate manual dexterity climb stairs talk hear and see.
Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts. May need to work over time to make sure that pumping requirements are met.
Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
Work is in a surface mine setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment including hart hat hearing protection safety glasses safety footwear and as needed respirator rubber steel-toe boots protective clothing gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
