The Opportunity
Are you ready to energize your career and take the technical lead on High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) projects Join Hitachi Energy as a Project Lead Engineer and dive into the fascinating world of HVDC this role youll coordinate global project teams interact with stakeholders and be the main point of contact for technical queries. Youll work independently while collaborating with others managing all your projects and processes with great responsibility. Whether youre a junior or senior engineer we provide the tools and support to help you grow and develop in your role. Please note this position is of a hybrid nature (2/3 days office). Please note we are unable to provide visa support for this position.


How Youll Make an Impact

  • Serve as the primary contact for technical matters with customers.

  • Ensure complete and multidisciplinary information in engineering development.

  • Lead the development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges.

  • Drive the completion of all engineering activities on projects.

  • Provide technical support for testing installation and commissioning activities.

  • Prepare project documents within budget scope and contract.

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risks.

  • Maintain technical quality in contracts documents and deliveries.


Your Background

  • Academic degree in Engineering (e.g. Electrical Engineering or similar).

  • 5 years of experience in a similar lead role.

  • Experience with HVDC technology is a plus but not required.

  • Power industry experience or similar a must.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to take a leading role and deliver quality results.

  • Fluency in English both verbally and in writing; other languages are an advantage.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the UK.
