Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Modeling Expert to design and maintain conceptual and logical data models forming the foundation of Boschs digital and AI initiatives.
You will translate complex business requirements into structured reusable and scalable data models that drive analytics reporting and operational efficiency.
This role bridges the business and technical teams ensuring that data structures reflect business semantics support governance and enable long-term interoperability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Modeling & Design
Design and maintain conceptual and logical data models that accurately capture business entities relationships and attributes.
Translate business processes and KPIs into structured data models supporting analytics and AI.
Collaborate with data engineers to support physical model realization.
Ensure alignment with enterprise data modeling standards naming conventions and metadata rules.
Maintain data dictionaries ER diagrams and semantic definitions for each domain.
2. Business Alignment
Engage with business stakeholders to capture and refine data requirements.
Serve as a bridge between business experts and data engineers to ensure consistent understanding of data meaning and use.
Document lineage usage and semantic definitions to promote data transparency.
3. Quality & Governance
Ensure model consistency data integrity and compliance with Bosch data governance policies.
Support the adoption of data modeling best practices across domains and teams.
Participate in peer reviews and contribute to the improvement of data standards.
Required Qualifications
58 years of experience in data modeling data analysis or data product design.
Strong hands-on experience in conceptual and logical data modeling.
Proficiency in modeling tools such as Sparx EA PowerDesigner or ER/Studio.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
Familiarity with dimensional modeling and data normalization principles.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to data governance tools (Informatica EDC/IDMC Collibra).
Awareness of cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake Azure Synapse Databricks).
Basic understanding of data lineage and metadata management.
Domain familiarity with manufacturing engineering or logistics data.
