Postdoctoral Position in Bone-Immunology Kim Laboratory
Position Summary
The laboratory of Harry Kim MD Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at UT Southwestern and Director of the Hip Center at Scottish Rite for Children invites applications for a postdoctoral position. Dr. Kim leads a dynamic NIH-funded research team focused on developing novel biologic treatments for hip and joint disorders caused by bone necrosis utilizing in vivo and in vitro models. The team comprises experts in bone biology material science histology and animal technology fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research in bone immunology related to bone necrosis
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to investigate immunomodulatory treatments for bone necrosis
- Perform macrophage and T-cell culture experiments
- Contribute to experimental design data interpretation and publication of findings in high-impact journals.
Prerequisite Qualifications
- PhD in immunology bone biology or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in bioinformatics particularly immune cell scRNAseq and bulkRNAseq analysis.
- Cell culture experience in immunology is highly desirable.
- Candidates with a proven track record in these areas will be prioritized for interviews.
