WHO YOULL WORK WITH
The Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be a key driver in the innovation and advancement of Nikes manufacturing processes within the LATAM region. This role will lead a team of Advanced Manufacturing Engineers in developing and implementing cutting-edge automation and digitization capabilities ensuring that Nike maintains a competitive edge in manufacturing technology.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
What You Bring:
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Advanced Manufacturing Automation and Digitization.
- Proven leadership in managing and developing high-performing engineering teams with a focus on automation technologies.
- Expertise in automation systems robotics machine learning artificial intelligence and IoT as they relate to manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in GSD and background in factory capacity planning & management.
- A strong technical foundation with a bachelors degree in mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in engineering or technology management are preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing process design and optimization with a demonstrated ability to innovate and improve complex systems.
- A track record of successfully implementing large-scale automation and digitization projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication collaboration and influence skills with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-layered global organization.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and data analysis tools.

- Lead the key Manufacturing Modernization and Digitization initiatives at Nike together with our Americas Apparel factory partners.
- Develop strategic plans for the integration of advanced technologies that enhance manufacturing efficiency product quality and speed to market.
- Oversee the research and evaluation of new automation and digitization technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation that supports Nikes enterprise strategy and business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Partner Management Product Creation and Manufacturing Systems Engineering to align advanced capabilities with Nikes product and process requirements.
- Drive the implementation of Advance and Intelligent Industry initiatives including smart factory concepts the Internet of Things (IoT) and AI to create a connected and intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.
- Facilitate the development of technical standards and best practices for automation and digitization projects.
- Mentor and develop the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Track and refresh key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of automation and digitization initiatives and their impact on manufacturing outcomes.
- Engage with external technology partners and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and stay abreast of emerging trends in advanced manufacturing.
