Job Summary

WHO YOULL WORK WITH

The Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be a key driver in the innovation and advancement of Nikes manufacturing processes within the LATAM region. This role will lead a team of Advanced Manufacturing Engineers in developing and implementing cutting-edge automation and digitization capabilities ensuring that Nike maintains a competitive edge in manufacturing technology.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

What You Bring:

A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Advanced Manufacturing Automation and Digitization.
Proven leadership in managing and developing high-performing engineering teams with a focus on automation technologies.
Expertise in automation systems robotics machine learning artificial intelligence and IoT as they relate to manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in GSD and background in factory capacity planning & management.

A strong technical foundation with a bachelors degree in mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in engineering or technology management are preferred.
Experience in manufacturing process design and optimization with a demonstrated ability to innovate and improve complex systems.
A track record of successfully implementing large-scale automation and digitization projects within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication collaboration and influence skills with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-layered global organization.
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and data analysis tools.

Lead the key Manufacturing Modernization and Digitization initiatives at Nike together with our Americas Apparel factory partners.
Develop strategic plans for the integration of advanced technologies that enhance manufacturing efficiency product quality and speed to market.
Oversee the research and evaluation of new automation and digitization technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation that supports Nikes enterprise strategy and business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Partner Management Product Creation and Manufacturing Systems Engineering to align advanced capabilities with Nikes product and process requirements.
Drive the implementation of Advance and Intelligent Industry initiatives including smart factory concepts the Internet of Things (IoT) and AI to create a connected and intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.
Facilitate the development of technical standards and best practices for automation and digitization projects.
Mentor and develop the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Track and refresh key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of automation and digitization initiatives and their impact on manufacturing outcomes.
Engage with external technology partners and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and stay abreast of emerging trends in advanced manufacturing.
