Job Summary

Job Title : Senior Linux Engineer

Location : Brussels - next to public transport

Contract : Freelance / long-term mission (2 years)

About the Role

We are looking for aSystem Engineerto join a Sysadmins team responsible for ensuring that tailor-made infrastructure solutions for clients in therailway and mobility sectoroperate smoothly. Youll work across a variety of technologies on-premise hybrid and cloud all requiring high levels ofavailability continuity and security.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain install and configure both hardware and software components.
Participate inmigration projects testing debugging and deploying updates or patches.
Ensureinfrastructure and data security while maintaining system stability.
Monitor and resolve incidents failures and changes to keep environments operational.
Providesecond-line support including participation in anon-call rotation.
Research and implement new technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to testing documentation and implementation processes.
Perform on-site interventions at customer locations (31 sites across Belgium).

Required Technical Skills

Strong knowledge ofLinux (Red Hat)systems andscripting(bash or similar).
Solid experience withVMware including vSphere vCenter and vMotion.
Basic understanding ofnetwork administration(routers switches VPN firewalls).
Fluency inDutch and French(spoken and written).
Experience inhigh-availability production environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience withVeeam(setup configuration administration).
Puppet (Open Source)administration.
Monitoring tools: Nagios Zabbix.
OpenshiftandElastic Stack (including Kibana).
Database knowledge: MySQL PostgreSQL.
Atlassian Suite(Jira Confluence Git).
GITversion control.
Familiarity withStratusandFujitsu hardware.
