Job Summary

A Day in the Life and the Impact Youll Make:

What Youll Do:

The FME Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring safety compliance and efficiency by supervising Foreign Materials Exclusion (FME) programs across nuclear power facilities and other industrial sectors (energy manufacturing and specialty projects). This full-time role balances administrative responsibilities supporting company operations with direct project leadership in the field during outage seasons and specialized assignments. The Supervisor may at times also fulfill other FME monitoring roles as well as consulting and coordination duties within FME role(s) to support clients needs and operational success.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to a culture of safety and health by demonstrating accountability communication and oversight in the following key areas:Strategic Alignment Accountability Performance Monitoring Reports Communication & Engagement Incident Management and Corrective Actions.
  • Support company operations between projects with planning scheduling and administrative oversight
  • Drive continuous development and enhancement of the FME Program ensuring procedures and practices evolve with industry standards and client needs
  • Create and deliver job proposals for client opportunities
  • Prepare and manage client timesheets billing and invoicing to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and update FME procedures documentation and training records
  • Participate in internal planning meetings reporting and program development
  • Lead the recruitment interviewing and selection of new FME staff building a strong and qualified workforce
  • Train and mentor new employees in FME practices using the DEKRA FME Guidebook Industrial Training procedures and company standards
  • Provide ongoing mentorship to FME Technicians and Leaders-in-Training
  • Ability to create an effective interview environment to assess candidates experience navigate social media to post requisitions and fit for the DEKRA team

      Project-Specific Responsibilities

      • Lead on-site FME programs during nuclear outages upgrades and other project-specific assignments.
      • Support other industries beyond nuclear (energy industrial and manufacturing) with FME supervision as needed.
      • Supervise personnel to ensure strict adherence to FME protocols DEKRA FME Guidebook requirements Industrial Training procedures and site/plant procedures.
      • Conduct job-site assessments foreign material walkdowns and readiness checks.
      • Step in to fulfill other FME Monitoring Consulting or Coordinating roles as necessary to maintain program effectiveness and meet client needs.
      • Coordinate with utility representatives contractors and site leadership to integrate FME controls into project activities.
      • Provide FME Consulting Services to clients including program evaluations best practice recommendations and compliance improvements.
      • Perform coordination duties within FME role(s) through managing schedules personnel and resources to ensure seamless FME program execution.
      • Respond rapidly to emergent issues in the field and make critical decisions under pressure.
      • Travel extensively during outage seasons and project deployments (per diem provided or Company AMEX issued)
      • Attend Industry Working Groups as part of the DEKRA Leadership Team and network with the intent of building the business
      • Attend FME Coordinator Training provided by external accredited party (e.g. FME Industry Working Group) and receive certification if not already received
      • Organize annual Leadership and Team Trainings

      What Youll Bring:

      • Minimum one year of experience in nuclear power outage support or industrial safety
      • Prior FME experience strongly preferred
      • Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory consulting or coordinating role
      • Must be able to pass all testing and qualifications including a background test to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility
      • Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to work in a high-stress safety-sensitive environment
      • Must be able to travel nationwide and work extended hours during projects
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
      • Excellent interpersonal verbal written and presentation skills
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
      • Experience in delivering high-quality customer service
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
      • Willingness to support a collaborative office environment and assist with various administrative tasks
      • Must be a people-person with excellent communication skills both verbal and written

      Physical Considerations:

      • Must be able to work in a variety of client locations environments and conditions. This may include climbing stairs ladders working at heights walking long distances walking on rough and uneven terrain walking through client work facilities working in heat/cold conditions indoors and outdoors
      • Must be able to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled
      • Must be able to withstand the rigors of extensive travel
      • Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion
      • Extended periods of computer-based work
      • Extended periods of standing
      • Ability to work independently and manage time dedicated to your role while being in your home office
      • Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work including telephone
      • Ability to work flexible and long hours as needed

      Travel Considerations:

      • Domestic and/or international travel required estimated up to 80%.
      • Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage)

      What Youll Receive for the Value You Bring:

      Compensation:

      The base pay for this position is $25.00/hour - $42.00/hour. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related duties knowledge skills and experience.
