Outstanding Science department

    A highly successful secondary school in Ealing is looking for a Science Technician to start a full-time permanent position in January 2026. The school is seeking a proactive and well-organised individual to support the delivery of practical Science lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Science and teaching staff to ensure that laboratory activities run smoothly and safely.

    This mixed secondary school rated Outstanding by Ofsted educates approximately 1400 students aged 1118 and has developed an excellent reputation across West London for its academic excellence and inclusive ethos. The school is easily accessible with excellent public transport links and on-site parking available for staff.

    The Science department is well-equipped with modern laboratories preparation rooms and up-to-date resources. The department enjoys a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration with experienced teachers and technicians who take pride in delivering engaging and practical lessons.

    Experience and Qualifications

    Previous experience as a Science Technician (school or laboratory setting preferred)

    Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures within a lab environment

    Ability to prepare maintain and organise equipment and materials for practical lessons

    Strong teamwork and communication skills

    Relevant scientific qualification (e.g. A-Level or degree in Science) desirable

      Salary

      The salary for this Science Technician position will be paid to scale on a direct school contract.
