Location: Utica NY 13502
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2232 - $2412; (Negotiable based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to join our team in Utica NY for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and high-quality care to critically ill or premature newborns in a Level II/III NICU setting.

This role requires flexibility to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in Level II/III NICU settings.
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor and manage ventilators IV lines and other specialized neonatal equipment.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams and families.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
Uphold infection control standards and adhere to hospital and unit policies.

Required Requirements:

Experience: 3 years in NICU (some level II or III experience is mandatory preferably 3 yrs of level II/III).
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required prior to start
- STABLE required prior to start
EMR: Epic experience required.
